Tumor de Frantz é definido como um tumor sólido pseudopapilar do pâncreas descrito pela primeira vez em 1959. Apesar de ser um tumor maligno, cursa, na maioria das vezes, com comportamento benigno. Este tumor acomete, principalmente a região corpo-caudal do pâncreas e é mais incidente em mulheres jovens.
